The Latest film trailers I saw this week!
Sin City: A Dame to Kill for: I haven’t seen the first Sin City film yet and I don’t have any clue what it’s about. The trailer definitely looks spectacular in Black-White and some very bright colors, like the red lipstick. There are some amazing actors in it and Robert Rodriguez is involved, so I guess it will be a good one!
Grace of Monaco, starring Nicole Kidman and Tim Roth, is about the marriage and identity crisis of former actress Grace Kelly during some political issues. The trailer shows how former actress Grace longs to go back to Hollywood but politics are in the way. She has to make choices whether to stay with the Prince or not and how she will continue her life.
Godzilla: What happened is definitely NOT a natural disaster or earthquake according to Joe Brody (Bryan Cranston) but something that will send us back to the stone age! Well that doesn’t sounds great. The trailer shows us a lot of damage what look likes the impact of an earthquake, even a damaged Statue of Liberty. And then we see something swimming which causes a flood and takes everything with it! This ‘something’ is supposed to be awakened in 1954 and it was attempted to kill it by using nuclear bombs. Now the monster is back and the though soldiers have to take it down once and for all! Also starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Ford and Elizabeth Olsen as Elle Brody.
Muppets most wanted: ‘We’re getting a sequel” Wow what an amazing musical trailer, so funny and a really catchy song! And did I really saw P. Diddy and Danny Trejo? “Waka Waka” Starring Tina Fey, Ty Burrel and Ricky Gervais.
In the Blood is about a couple whereof the husband goes missing during a vacation. The wife sets off on her own to take down the men she thinks are responsible. The trailer starts with some amazing shots of the surroundings and the couple. But then something goes terribly wrong! The rest of the trailer consists of a lot of fighting. I think this film is really to show Gina Carano’s fighting skills but the acting? I don’t know. I saw her in Fast & Furious 6 and I was not impressed by something else than her fighting. Also starring Dany Trejo, Cam Gigandet, Luis Guzmán and Amaury Nolasco(!)
Transformers: Age of Extinction’s latest trailer introduces the film’s post-war setting, where Transformers are no longer needed. Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg) accidentally buys Optimus Prime and some men in suits are demanding Optimus and start shooting. When Joshua (Stanley Tucci) says “we don’t need Transformers anymore”, we almost immediately see he’s wrong: Transformers are coming from everywhere and yes, that were Dinobots! So, not really an extinction after all!
Paddington: I loved the books about this bear when I was a child and I definitely loved this teaser trailer! The music is so adorable and Paddington (Colin Firth) at the end, so cute! I will definitely look after this bear! We don’t see much and I look very forward to see more! What I like about the film, is that’s not animation.
Annie: I love how everything is the same, but also completely different! The same plot/story but in than the now. Cameron Diaz as the mean Miss Hannigan looks amazing! The music is more up-beat and the film is more multicultural. I like that Annie, Quvenzhané Wallis, is not a red-head anymore and therefore more identifiable.
